DESCRIPTION: \nYou are invited to a webinar hosted by the Federal Interagency Health Equity Team\nMultnomah County\, Oregon created The Equity and Empowerment Lens (with a racial justice focus) in 2012 to support the elimination of racial and ethnic disparities. The Lens is a quality improvement tool used to improve planning\, decision-making and resource allocation leading to more racially equitable policies and programs. Essentially\, the lens is a set of principles\, reflective questions and processes that focuses at the individual\, institutional and systemic levels by: \n\nDeconstructing factors that exacerbate health disparities;\nReconstructing and supporting factors that promote health equity;\nShifting the way we make decisions and think about this work; and<\nHealing and transforming our structures\, our environments\, and ourselves.\n\nThis webinar will introduce practitioners interested in the lens to discuss the application and outcomes of this analysis in their work.
