SUMMARY:44th National Convention on Sickle Cell Disease
DESCRIPTION:The Sickle Cell Disease Association of America is excited to kick off it’s 44th Annual Sickle Cell Disease Convention! We have much to share with you this year as we focus on “Collective Impact: Building Bridges for Better Access to Care and Research.” \nABOUT THE CONVENTION \nThe SCDAA four-day Annual Convention is designed to address the multi-factorial aspects of Sickle Cell Disease.  The event is set to offer an array of exciting activities designed to educate and motive the entire community through the offering of new innovative symposiums\, training seminars and interactive panel discussions.  In an effort to advocate for improved quality of life for individuals and families affected with the sickle cell disease and the associated morbidity and mortality\, related to the disease. \nBy popular demand the conference will bring back its signature events with new surprises.  These activities include:  The Annual Unity Soiree\, Exhibitor Expo\, Patient Empowerment Luncheon\, professional training for select groups and students\, and the new and improved Lonzie Lee Jones Symposium. \nSince 1971\, SCDAA has served as the only voluntary national organization working full-time to resolve issues surrounding sickle cell disease.  SCDAA is comprised of over 45 community based organizations and 26 affiliate members serving patients and their families in over 300 communities in the United States. \nGENERAL REGISTRATION \nProfessional and General Registration  includes access to all sessions and special events. \nDiscounted registration for individuals with sickle cell disease\, their immediate families and students available\, including all sessions but exclude the Unity Soiree. \nREGISTER\n
